Sunny Deol paid tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh and wrote, "Deeply saddened by the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh. He was a visionary leader who played an important role in the economic liberalization of India. His wisdom, honesty and his contribution to nation building will always be remembered. #RIPDrManmohanSingh."
Sanjay Dutt also expressed grief over the demise of Manmohan Singh and wrote, "My condolences on the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh. The responsibility he played towards the country will never be forgotten." Diljit Dosanjh also shared a picture of Dr. Manmohan Singh and expressed condolences and wrote, "Oh Waheguru."
Actress Nimrat Kaur wrote, "A scholar-statesman, the architect of India's economic reforms, his unparalleled understanding and humility have left an indelible mark on the fabric of our nation. Dr Manmohan Singh Ji, may you rest in peace and dignity. Satnam Wahe Guru #RIPManmohanSinghJi." Anil Kapoor also paid tribute on social media, saying, "Dr Manmohan Singh was not only a good leader but he was a successful leader who laid the economic foundation of modern India. I had the opportunity to meet him. He will always be remembered."
At the same time, actress Genelia Deshmukh wrote, "Deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of our former Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh Ji. He has left a unique example of honesty, wisdom and selfless service to the country. May his soul rest in peace." Comedian Kapil Sharma shared his photo with Manmohan Singh and wrote, "India lost one of its finest leaders today. Let us tell you that Dr. Manmohan Singh died on 26 December at the age of 92 in AIIMS Hospital, Delhi. His demise has created a wave of grief not only in the country but across the world.
