The actor's lawyers filed a petition in the court seeking permission for virtual appearance, as physical presence was not necessary. The court granted their permission and Allu Arjun appeared through video conferencing. During the hearing, the police said that they needed more time to present a counter petition in the bail case. In such a situation, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till Monday. As a result, Allu Arjun's bail has now been extended for three days.
Allu Arjun, who has been named as accused number 11, has also filed a regular bail petition in the court, which is likely to be heard on December 30. After Allu Arjun was sent to jail, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks from December 13, and he was released from jail on December 14.
Notably, on December 4, a woman Revathi died and her eight-year-old son was seriously injured in a stampede-like situation during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. Following the incident, the police had registered a complaint against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theatre management under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, which was given by the family of the deceased woman.
