Naga Vamsi's bold comment on bollywood stirs Boney Kapoor, Who responds sharply

Telugu filmmaker Naga Vamsi, who has produced films like 'Guntur Karam' and 'Devra', has recently made a big statement. He says that South Indian films have changed Bollywood's perspective. Naga Vamsi says that Bollywood is now making films only for posh areas of Mumbai like Bandra and Juhu, while South Indian cinema has changed the way the audience thinks and watches films. He made this statement in a program of Galata Plus, in which filmmaker Boney Kapoor was also present.

Boney Kapoor talked about the global market of South Indian cinema during this time. He said, "Telugu films have a special market in America, Tamil films have a huge market in Singapore and Malaysia and cinema also has a big market in Gulf countries." On this, Naga Vamsi said, "Malayalam cinema also has a big market in Gulf countries." Producer Archana Kalpati and Siddharth also agreed with Naga Vamsi. After this, Naga Vamsi directly told Boney Kapoor, "You have to admit that South Indian cinema has changed the perspective of Bollywood, because you people are making films only for Bandra and Juhu. You have seen this change in films like 'Bahubali', 'RRR', 'Animal' and 'Jawaan'."

Boney Kapoor expressed surprise at this and said, "It is not like that." To this, Naga Vamsi replied, "Sir, you gave the example of 'Mughal-e-Azam', but you gave the example of Telugu films like 'Bahubali' and 'RRR', and did not name Hindi films." Boney Kapoor reacted to this and said, "We cannot say everything on this platform, we have to talk about it in detail. When I mention 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Bahubali' etc., it does not mean that I have ignored other films. I know about those films too. I can count those films on my fingers. But I don't think at all that Telugu cinema has taught us anything." Naga Vamsi then clarified that he was only talking about events and mass entertainers. Boney Kapoor then said that since the Pushpa 2 actor has talked about being a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan, he could have been a fan of NT Rama Rao as well.

Naga Vamsi said that he is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan and Allu Arjun is also a big fan of Chiranjeevi. Naga Vamsi further said, "It is not a question of language, but it is a matter of understanding what is good and what is bad. What the audience likes is the most important. Nowadays Marathi films are also doing well at the box office, like 'Sairat' did a business of 100 crores. The perspective of the audience has changed and this change has come with the influence of OTT platforms." Archana Kalpati concluded the discussion by giving the example of 'Manjummel Boys'. It was a Malayalam film, but it was very appreciated in Tamil Nadu. She said that we can never know what the audience learns or understands from a film.
