Makers reveal release date of Phule on Savitribai Phule's 194th birth anniversary, Starring Pratik Gandhi..

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of India's first female teacher Savitribai Phule, Dancing Shiva Films, Kingsmen Productions and all of us together will release the film Phule in theaters on April 11, 2025. This date will also be celebrated as the 197th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. The film Phule will feature Pratik Gandhi and Patralekha in lead roles. The film will bring to the screen the inspirational story of the life and social reformer struggles of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule.

The release date of the film Phule has finally been announced. The film is based on the life and contributions of Indian social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule. The film will be released in theaters on April 11, 2025. This day will also celebrate the 197th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Anant Mahadevan, the film will feature Pratik Gandhi as Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Patralekhaa as Savitribai Phule. The film was announced by Zee Studios on Instagram, which wrote, "On the occasion of Savitribai Phule's birth anniversary, Dancing Shiva Films, Kingsmen Productions and we will jointly release the film Phule in cinemas on 11th April 2025, which also marks the 197th birth anniversary of Jyotirao Phule." The film will depict the inspirational journey of Mahatma Jyotirao and Savitribai Phule, who did significant work for education and social equality in Indian society. Expressing happiness about her role, Patralekha said, "I am very proud to play the role of Savitribai Phule. She and Jyotirao Phule together laid the foundation of modern education and social equality in India. Today, on the occasion of her birth anniversary, we are announcing the release of the film Phule. I am happy that the audience will soon be able to see her inspiring journey on the big screen."

Savitribai Phule, the great social reformer of Indian history, was born on 3 January 1831 in Naigaon, Satar district of Maharashtra. Savitribai opened the country's first girls' school in Bhide Wada, Pune in 1848. She fought against the male-dominated society and went from door to door to inspire people to educate girls. Savitribai died on 10 March 1897 due to plague.
