Kangana Ranaut invites Priyanka Gandhi to watch 'Emergency', Talks about portraying indira Gandhi with respect

Actress Kangana Ranaut has played the role of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her film 'Emergency'. Before the release of the film, Kangana has invited Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi to watch the film. Kangana met Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament and during this time their conversation was related to Indira Gandhi.

Kangana said that Priyanka Gandhi talked a lot about her grandmother Indira Gandhi and also said that Priyanka often takes inspiration from her grandmother in her speeches. Kangana said, "I met Priyanka Gandhi ji in Parliament, and the first thing I told her was that you should watch 'Emergency'. She said, 'Maybe, I will watch it.' I said, 'You will like this film very much.'"

Kangana said that the character of Indira Gandhi has been shown from a very sensitive and deep perspective. This film depicts the Emergency period of India. Kangana said, "I believe that this is a very sensitive and intelligent presentation, in which the personality of Indira Gandhi has been depicted with respect." During the research for the film, Kangana also paid special attention to Indira Gandhi's personal life. Kangana said, "I felt that there is a lot to know about a person, so I paid special attention to the fact that women are always talked about more for their relationships with men and sensational events, and I did not pay attention to this."

The film 'Emergency' had to face controversies for a long time, but now this film is going to be released on 26 January on the occasion of Republic Day. Anupam Kher, Milind Soman and Shreya Talpade will also be seen in lead roles along with Kangana in this film.
