South superstar Ajith Kumar is all set to participate in the upcoming 24-hour race, 24H Dubai 2025. He is making a comeback to the racing track after a gap of 13 years. In a recent interview for 24H Dubai 2025, Ajith spoke about his acting and racing career. He also said that he will not sign any films until the racing season starts and plans to work in films between October and March.
When asked if his film contracts allow him to combine film shooting with racing, Ajith said, "No. I am not told what I should and should not do. At this point, I am planning to pursue motorsports not just as a driver but also as a team owner. I will not sign any films until the racing season starts, and will probably work in films between October and March, so that when the racing season starts, I am fully prepared."
During this, Ajith also talked about his entry into racing. He said, "I was 18 years old when I started bike racing in India. Then I got busy with work, but continued bike racing for 20-21 years and then continued racing till 1993. After this I came into the film industry, and in 2002 when I was 32 years old, I decided to quit motorcycle racing and return to four-wheeled racing."
Ajith Kumar is also the owner of a racing team. His team will participate in the Porsche 992 class, which includes his teammates Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffiex and Cameron McLeod. At the same time, Ajith is also in the news for his two most awaited films. The first film is 'Vidamuyarchy', which was earlier scheduled to release on the occasion of Pongal, but now it has been postponed and its new release date is yet to be announced. The second film is 'Good Bad and Early', which will be released on 10 April 2025. The film will clash at the box office with pan India star Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab'. The film will feature Ajith, Trisha, Prasanna and Sunil in the lead roles.
