Rupali Ganguly reveals why she was considered a 'Failure' in films: 'Casting couch was prevalent'

Rupali Ganguly, who rose to fame with the TV show 'Anupamaa', recently opened up about why she did not find success in films. According to reports, Rupali revealed that she had consciously decided to stay away from Bollywood, which is why she was considered a failure in films. Rupali also shared her feelings about 'Anupamaa' and said that the show is like a family to her.

In an interview, Rupali said, "I could not succeed in films and it was my decision because facing a casting couch was very common in the film industry at that time. Some people did not realise it, but people like me had to face it. Due to this, I was considered a failure, because I am from a film family."

The actress further expressed her gratitude towards Rajan Shahi and revealed how the show

'Anupamaa' changed her life. She said, "I felt very small then, but today I feel very proud because of 'Anupamaa'. This show gave me the status I always dreamt of." Rupali Ganguly's show 'Anupamaa' is one of the top shows on TV these days, which has been at number 1 in the TRP charts for many years. However, a recent report claimed that the actress is going to quit the show. Later, Rupali termed the report as baseless.

Rupali said about the show ‘Anupamaa', "Wow, how amazing people's imagination is! But thank you, who talked about me and the show. Both my husband and I believe that whatever Rajan ji taught me - identity, status - I can never repay it. 'Anupamaa' is not just a show for me, it is a feeling, it is my second home." She further added, "Does anyone leave their family, their home? And God forbid, this should never happen. If Rajan ji ever says that he doesn't need me in the show anymore, I can fight with him and say please let me stay in Anupamaa. I will be a part of this show till it ends. I am not going to leave it."
