Jackie Shroff returns as a villain in 'Chidiya Udd', set in 90s mumbai underworld

Jackie Shroff is currently in the news as a villain in his upcoming film 'Baby John'. Varun Dhawan is in the lead role in this film. At the same time, Jackie Shroff is now going to be seen in Amazon MX Player's series 'Chidiya Udd'. In this series, once again the audience will get to see the dangerous avatar of Jackie Shroff, as the whole series revolves around the underworld.

Jackie Shroff's character in 'Chidiya Udd' is that of Kadir Khan, who is the kingpin of Mumbai's underworld. The story of the series is set in the 90s, when the atmosphere of Mumbai was very dangerous and the underworld ruled. Prostitution and exploitation of women was also a big issue in the city at this time, and the series depicts the pain of women who try to get out of this quagmire.

Kadir Khan's character is respected throughout the city and has the key to the entire network of the underworld. However, there are many complications in his personal life. Kadir wants to make his son Akram his successor. Playing this character was a big challenge for Jackie Shroff. He said, "The character of Kadir Khan was a big challenge for me. He is very different and that is why I was able to connect with him. As I say, he is 'bindaas', but he has his own struggles."

This series is directed by Ravi Jadhav and written by Mohinder Pratap Singh and Chintan Gandhi. This series is based on Abid Surti's famous novel 'Cage'. Bhumika Meena is in the lead role in 'Chidiya Udd'. Apart from this, Sikandar Kher, Madhur Mittal, Mayur More and Mita Vashisht will also be seen in important roles.
