Did Anurag Kashyap backtrack on his decision to leave Mumbai? Says, 'This is my Karmabhoomi'

Recently Anurag Kashyap had said that he is tired of Bollywood and now he is planning to leave Mumbai and settle in South. He had given many reasons behind this decision. But now Anurag Kashyap has given a new statement on this. He has said that even though he is leaving Mumbai, he considers Mumbai as his karmabhoomi. This means that he will definitely stay out of here, but his connection with Bollywood will remain intact.

Recently Anurag Kashyap was seen on the occasion of the re-release of the film 'Satya'. During this, while talking to the media, he again talked about his statement of leaving Mumbai. Anurag said, "Yes, I am leaving, I will stay outside but this is my karmabhoomi. Only my place of residence will be different now." In this way he made it clear that he has decided to leave Mumbai, but his connection with film production and Bollywood will always remain.

Anurag Kashyap is angry with Bollywood because he is not getting work as per his wish and his five films are stuck. Recently he also talked about this. In 2023, his film 'Kennedy' was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was highly appreciated. But since then the film has not been released. Expressing grief over this, Anurag said, "I have made five films, which have not been released yet. The film 'Kennedy' is with those who have not made any film till date. The studio people say that you increase your stake, make money and bring profit." Apart from this, Anurag Kashyap also commented on the work culture of Bollywood and the behavior of the stars. He said, "Every actor wants star treatment in Hindi films. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult to make a film. Whereas this is not the case in the South Industry, even the biggest actors here keep themselves like the rest."

These days Anurag Kashyap is also acting in South Indian films. In this way, Anurag Kashyap has given clarity about his plans that he may leave Mumbai, but his connection with Bollywood will always remain.
