This concert is part of Coldplay's 'Music of the Spear World Tour', in which the band has organized three shows on 18, 19 and 21 January at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. However, a Chandigarh resident has lodged a complaint regarding this concert, expressing concern about the safety of children.

Following a complaint from a Chandigarh resident, Thane district officials issued a notice to the concert organisers, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin and the event's ticket partner BookMyShow on January 14. The notice states some rules that will have to be followed. It states that children cannot be brought on stage in any form during the concert. Also, the sound level at the concert should not exceed 120 decibels.
