Defence minister Rajnath Singh attends screening of 'Sky Force', Shares pictures with star cast

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently attended a special screening of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's upcoming film Sky Force. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and other senior officials were also present at the screening. Rajnath Singh shared some pictures of the occasion on his official X ( twitter) account, which included scenes of his meeting with the star cast of the film.

The film is based on the Indian Air Force's counter attack on Pakistan's Sargodha air base in the 1965 air war between India and Pakistan. The film is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani. Sky Force is going to be released in theaters on January 24. The film will also feature Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles along with Akshay Kumar.

The film's actor Vir Pahadia said about the film, "It is a very serious character. I hope this film is like Lakshya, which inspires people to join the army and serve the country." Speaking to a media portal, he said, "Working on my debut film Sky Force was a very emotional experience. It was a great responsibility and opportunity for me as I got to play the role of the real hero Squadron Leader Ajjamada Bopayya Devayya, a great hero of the 1965 Indo-Pak war." Veer also said that this story is important for the coming generations so that they can take inspiration from the struggle of our country's heroes.
