On this special occasion, UK Railways and Yash Raj Films have announced a cultural partnership, under which a musical adaptation of the film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' 'Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical' is being prepared. This musical will be released on 29 May 2025 at Manchester Opera House and will run till 21 June.
'Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical' is an English language musical directed by Aditya Chopra. The story revolves around 'Simran', a British Indian woman who is engaged to a family friend in India. But the story takes a turn when she falls in love with a British boy 'Roger'. The main aim of this musical is to show the fusion of cultures of East and West. The music of this musical is composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, while its lyrics and screenplay are written by Neil Benjamin. Its choreographers are Rob Ashford and Shruti Merchant.
This musical, which will revive the memories of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', is an attempt to show the diversity and unity in Britain.
