Actor Prateik Babbar recently married Priyanka Banerjee. The wedding was held at Prateik's late mother Smita Patil's house in Mumbai. On this special occasion, Prateik's father Raj Babbar did not attend the wedding, nor was any other member of the Babbar family seen. Priyanka has given her reaction to this.

Prateik Babbar and Priyanka Banerjee got married on 14 February, i.e. Valentine's Day. Prateik is the son of actor Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil. The wedding took place at Prateik's mother Smita Patil's house in Mumbai. But Prateik's father Raj Babbar did not attend the wedding, nor did his step-siblings, Juhi and Arya Babbar, attend the wedding. The absence of the Babbar family has led to speculation that perhaps there has been some kind of rift or resentment between Prateik and the Babbar family.

Talking about this, Priyanka Banerjee said, "All the people who were important to us were present at the wedding." Talking to Hindustan Times, she said, "I don't know why rumors are being spread about this. All the important members of our family were present at our wedding. My parents, Prateik’s aunts, grandmothers, who have raised Prateik, were all there. All those people were present, whom we consider a part of our family."

Priyanka also spoke about the wedding day. She said that this wedding happened exactly as she and Prateek both wanted. She called it a special occasion. Priyanka said that all the family members were present under one roof that day. Priyanka told that Prateik’s mother, Smita Patil, had bought this house with a lot of hopes, so that she could live here and raise Prateik, but circumstances did not turn out like that. Priyanka said, "We believe that this house is a gift from her, she wanted our journey to start from here."
