Samay Raina's statement won't be recorded via video Call, Ranveer to appear on February 24

Comedian Samay Raina's statement is to be recorded on the 'India's Got Latent' controversy. He is currently abroad. YouTuber and comedian Samay Raina had demanded Maharashtra Cyber Cell to record his statement through video conferencing, as he is currently abroad. However, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has rejected his demand. He has been asked to appear in person on February 18. Apart from this, YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia has also been summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell to appear on February 24.

According to the news released by ANI regarding Samay Raina, Maharashtra Cyber Cell has said that he will have to record his statement in person. After sending the summons, his demand to give a statement through video conferencing from Samay Raina has been rejected. Samay Raina is currently in the US and has gone there in connection with his standup show. He says that due to some working commitments, he cannot return to India before March 17. Therefore, he had demanded from the cyber cell to give a statement through video conferencing. But the cyber cell did not accept his demand.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell has ordered Samay Raina to appear on February 18 and said that his statement will not be accepted through video conferencing. There has been no response from Samay Raina on this summons yet. Let us tell you that Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered an FIR against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahabadia, Apoorva Makhija and others accusing them of promoting obscenity and offensive content through 'India's Got Latent’.
