Vicky Kaushal shared a special experience on the occasion of Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary. Vicky reached Raigad Fort for the first time, where he paid tribute to Shivaji Maharaj. Sharing this experience on Instagram, Vicky wrote, "Today on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti, I had the privilege of visiting Raigad Fort and paying tribute. I got a chance to come here for the first time. There could not have been a better time to seek blessings from Maharaj."
The historic coronation of Shivaji Maharaj took place on 6 June 1674 in Raigad Fort. During this grand event, Shivaji was declared the emperor of the Maratha Empire. The coronation ceremony was conducted by the famous Acharya Ganga Bhatt of Varanasi as per Vedic rituals. On this occasion, Ganga Bhatt poured water from the Yamuna, Sindhu, Ganga, Godavari, Narmada, Krishna and Kaveri rivers from a golden vessel on Shivaji's head. It was here that Shivaji was given the title of 'Shaktikarta' (Creator of the Era) and 'Chhatrapati'.
