Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recently spoke on the development of the film industry. He told how the film industry has changed over time and now things have become much easier. According to him, nowadays only good visuals and stories are sold in the market. During an interview, while talking to Pinkvilla, he said that the main reason for the increase in the cost of films is the culture of vanity vans. According to Rakesh Roshan, the use of green screen and VFX in filmmaking makes the film much better.
Rakesh Roshan said, "Our studios never had makeup rooms, but after some time they started being made. Then we started making vanity vans for special artists. Now these vans have become even better. These vans are used by actors, directors, choreographers and stunt directors. Those who stay on the set all day are given vanity vans. However, I do not understand why this is done?"
Rakesh Roshan further said, "When we used to make films, there used to be vanity vans, but we never used to take one for ourselves. If we had to go to the toilet, we would go to someone else's vanity van. But now I don't understand why you need a vanity van when you live completely on the set?"
Talking about the changes in films, Rakesh Roshan said, "We have progressed 100 percent. New cameras, new technology and green screens have made work very easy. We did not use VFX and green screens in 'Karan Arjun' and 'Khoon Bhari Maang'. Filmmaking was an exciting experience at that time. Nowadays, you can put on screen what you think. Today's visuals make the story much more powerful. An actor fighting 100 people looks a bit artificial. Our stories are amazing, but when they are molded into a film, they look real." It is worth noting that Rakesh Roshan's film 'Karan Arjun' was re-released in 2024. Recently he also appeared in 'The Roshans' series, which was released on Netflix.
