Prime Minister Modi praises Vicky Kaushal’s 'Chhaava', Honors the valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj

These days the film 'Chhaava' is constantly in the news. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised this film fiercely. Talking about the contribution of Maharashtra and Mumbai in shaping Indian cinema, he said, "It is Maharashtra and Mumbai that have given height to Marathi films along with Hindi cinema. And nowadays 'Chhaava' is making a splash."

Prime Minister Modi also acknowledged the historical importance of the film and said, "It is the Marathi poetic composition of Shivaji Sawant, which has presented the valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in this form." The film 'Chhaava' is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film presents historical events and cultural significance in a very effective way. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and directed by Laxman Utekar. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Yesubai Bhosale, Akshaye Khanna plays Aurangzeb, Diana Penty plays Zeenat-un-Nisa Begum, Ashutosh Rana plays Hambirrao Mohite and Divya Dutta plays Soyrabai.
