PM Modi nominates celebrities including Mohanlal, Shreya Ghoshal, Nirahua, and R. Madhavan to fight obesity and raise awareness

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked about fighting a long battle against obesity in the 'Mann Ki Baat' program. After this, the Prime Minister tweeted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and informed that he is nominating ten people to strengthen this campaign against obesity and spread awareness about reducing the use of oil in food. These also include the names of four prominent film personalities, including South film actor Mohanlal, singer Shreya Ghoshal, Bhojpuri film actor Nirahua and Bollywood actor R. Madhavan. Let us know why PM Modi has chosen these artists.

Actor Mohanlal, singer Shreya Ghoshal, Nirahua and R. Madhavan are famous artists of their respective industries. Their films and songs are very much liked by the audience and their social image is also very good. When these artists join the campaign against obesity, their words will be given more importance by the people.

All these artists have been associated with various awareness campaigns before. Shreya Ghoshal has been involved in an awareness program based on women's problems and she also sang a song for it. Mohanlal has also been associated with a campaign to spread awareness about diabetes. R. Madhavan has also worked in campaigns related to homeless people and he has also been actively participating in campaigns related to environment, health and education.

All these artists have a huge fan following on social media, so if they promote a campaign, it will reach more and more people. Mohanlal has 59 lakh followers on Instagram, Nirahua has 21 lakh, Madhavan has 50 lakh and Shreya Ghoshal has 320 lakh followers. This campaign can be spread even more by using the social media influence of these artists.
