Recently, famous YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahabad have approached the officials of Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Maharashtra Cyber Cell officials informed that Ashish and Ranveer have expressed their willingness to record their statements. Following this, Maharashtra Cyber Cell had sent summons to both of them to record their statements. The matter started when Samay Raina did not appear for his statement earlier on February 18.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell released a statement saying that a second summon has been sent to Samay Raina so that he can appear for recording the statement. However, no update has been received from Samay Raina till this time. It is worth noting that Ranveer Allahabadia, who runs the BeerBiceps YouTube channel, had asked a very objectionable question to a contestant on the show 'Idea's Got Latent'. The question led to a lot of controversy and an FIR was filed against many people including Ranveer, Samay Raina. Moreover, the video was removed from YouTube after the intervention of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Samay Raina reacted to the matter on Twitter and wrote, “What is happening has become too much for me. I have removed all the videos of 'India Got Latent' from my channel. My only aim was to make people laugh and keep them happy. I will fully cooperate with all the agencies so that their investigation can be completed in a fair manner. Thank you.”
