Amid Loan waiver controversy, Congress links Preity Zinta to BJP, Actress hits back

There is now a political uproar in the matter of Preity Zinta's loan waiver of Rs 18 crore. The Kerala Congress unit has tweeted on this matter. Congress alleged in a tweet that "Preity Zinta had handed over her social media account to BJP, after which her loan of Rs 18 crore was waived." After this allegation, Preity Zinta wrote a long post and gave her reaction to it.

Kerala Congress unit also alleged in its post that "Preity Zinta gave her account to BJP and her loan of Rs 18 crore was waived, while that bank is now closed. Due to this, the depositors are on the road for their money." Preity Zinta is very angry with this allegation and she gave her reaction on this through Twitter.

Preity Zinta responded to this tweet of Congress and wrote, "I run my social media accounts myself. You should be ashamed of spreading false news. No one has waived my loan. I am surprised that a political party and its representatives are spreading such false news and indulging in dirty gossip. They are misusing my name and photo. My loan was fully repaid ten years ago. Hopefully this clarification will prevent any misunderstanding in future."

According to reports, loans were issued to many people from New India Cooperative Bank without the knowledge of the branch manager. Many of these loans were also waived, including Preity Zinta's alleged loan of Rs 18 crore. With this loan waiver, a case of corruption in the bank has come to light. Due to this, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has banned the activities of New India Cooperative Bank.
