It has been almost 37 years since Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married. This is one such Bollywood couple who adopted a love marriage to make their love successful. Recently, Govinda's wife Sunita shared the story of her and Govinda's love in an interview, which was just like a film.

It was the wedding of Govinda's maternal uncle and Sunita's sister, due to which Sunita often came to her sister's house and Govinda stayed at his maternal uncle's house. It was here that the two used to meet, although initially there was no love between the two. There were ups and downs in their relationship too, like in a Hindi film. Sunita and Govinda's beginning was not quite normal. Sunita told in her interview that Govinda was a desi boy who was from Virar, while she was a high society girl. There was a lot of difference in the attitude of both, due to which they used to fight a lot with each other in the beginning. Govinda also did not like Sunita wearing western dresses at all.

However, one thing that connected the two was dance. Govinda's maternal uncle encouraged both of them to participate in dance competitions. There were many dance competitions in family functions and Sunita often won them. Once Sunita even said that she taught Govinda to dance. Slowly, the two fell in love with each other.

When they fell in love, Govinda and Sunita used to write a lot of love letters to each other. Sunita's brother used to deliver these love letters to Govinda. One day, Govinda's mother got hold of a letter in which Sunita had mentioned about marrying Govinda. When the family came to know about it, their relationship was approved by everyone. Finally, the two got married on March 11, 1987. Today, they are happily married and have two children, Yash and Tina.
