Late actor Irrfan Khan is still alive in the memories of people through his films. His fans miss him a lot. Along with acting, Irrfan was also famous for his goodness. Meanwhile, a village in Maharashtra has paid tribute to Irrfan Khan in a unique way. The people of this village have changed the name of their village to 'Hero Chi Wadi' in memory of the actor.

The people of Igatpuri area of Maharashtra were such big fans of Irrfan Khan that they used to travel up to 30 kilometers to watch the actor's films. Now the name of this village has been changed in honor of Irrfan Khan. This village is located in Nashik district of Maharashtra.

Irrfan Khan had helped the people of this village a lot. He adopted a special way for this village and to honor the contribution of the actor, the people here decided to change the name of this area. In fact, a local area located near the historic Tringalwadi fort in Igatpuri tehsil was earlier known as 'Patriarchal Wada', which will now be known as 'Hero Chi Wadi' (Hero's Mohalla). This information has been shared on Instagram by 'The Culture Gully' (@theculturegully) through a video.

The villagers took this step to honor Irrfan Khan. Irrfan Khan owned a farmhouse in this village for about 15 years and did many things to help the rural community. He arranged for an ambulance in the village, gave raincoats and sweaters to the children in bad weather, provided financial assistance for school construction and also donated computers and books.

On 29 April 2020, Irrfan Khan said goodbye to the world due to a cancer called 'neuroendocrine tumor', but his contribution and goodness are still alive in the hearts of the people.
