Nana Patekar gets big relief in 'Me Too' case, Magistrate court dismisses complaint

Veteran actor Nana Patekar has finally got a big relief in the 'Me Too' case. The Magistrate Court dismissed the complaint related to the allegations of sexual harassment filed against him. The Magistrate Court rejected Tanushree Dutta's petition, saying that there is no concrete evidence to prove the allegations of sexual harassment in the complaint.

Tanushree Dutta had filed a case of molestation and threat against Nana Patekar and others in the Andheri Magistrate Court. The case was up for hearing before Magistrate Nilesh Bansal. Advocate Aniket Nikam defended Nana Patekar in this case. The court finally dismissed the complaint filed by Tanushree due to the closure report of Mumbai Police and lack of sufficient evidence.

Let us tell you that during the shooting of a song in 2008, Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Abdul Sami Siddiqui and producer Rakesh Sarang of sexual harassment. In this case, an FIR was registered against these four at Oshiwara Police Station.

Tanushree Dutta filed this complaint in October 2018. She said that Nana Patekar behaved indecently with her during the shooting of the song 'Horn OK Please', while Patekar had made it clear that he would not do any kind of obscene or inappropriate act, yet he touched her inappropriately. Along with this, she also named Ganesh Acharya, Abdul Sami Siddiqui and Rakesh Sarang.

After investigating the matter, the police reported that no crime was proven. After this, Tanushree filed a protest petition in December 2019, in which she demanded further investigation and action against the accused. However, now the court has given a big relief to Nana Patekar and dismissed the complaint filed by him.
