The shooting of superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited film 'Jailer 2' has started in Chennai from today (March 10). The producer of this film, Sun Pictures, made this announcement through social media. He wrote, "The search for Muthuvel Pandian begins. Shooting of 'Jailer 2' starts today." In this film, Rajinikanth will once again be seen in his powerful character.

'Jailer 2' is the second part of the 2023 Tamil superhit film 'Jailer'. Just like the first part was written and directed by Nalin Dilipkumar, he is also writing and directing this film. This is his second film project with Rajinikanth. 'Jailer' was an action-thriller film, which was loved by the audience. Now the audience is hoping that 'Jailer 2' also achieves the same success.

The music of the film is being given by Anirudh Ravichander, who also composed the songs of the first part. Those songs were huge hits. According to reports, many big stars will be seen in 'Jailer 2', and stars from various film industries may also be seen doing cameos in this film. Earlier, a four-minute promo released in January 2025 created a stir on social media, showing the return of Rajinikanth's character Tiger Muthuvel Pandian and action-packed scenes.

Last year, Nalin Dilipkumar announced 'Jailer 2' on social media. He wrote, "I am very happy that I am working with Superstar Rajinikanth, Sun Pictures and Anirudh in my next film 'Jailer 2'." In this post, he also thanked his team and expressed his gratitude to Rajinikanth.

The film 'Jailer' featured stars like Ramya Krishnan, Vinayak, Yogi Babu, Vasant Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Redin Kingsley and Sunil. Apart from this, veteran actors like Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar and Jackie Shroff also did cameos in the film. A similar brilliant cast is expected in 'Jailer 2' as well.
