Popular actor and directorAyan Mukherjee’s father Deb Mukherjee passed away today on March 14 (Friday). He was 83 years old and was suffering from age-related health problems for the last few months. Deb Mukherjee's funeral process will be done today (March 14) at 4 pm at Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Many prominent Bollywood stars may reach there to bid him a final farewell.

Deb Mukherjee was not only an actor but he also played an important role in organizing North Bombay Durga Puja. This puja is one of the famous Durga Puja festivals of Mumbai, in which Bollywood stars like Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Rupali Ganguly and Tanishaa participate every year.

In his career, Deb Mukherjee worked in many great films. The characters played by him in films like 'Abhinetri', 'Do Aankhen Barah Haath', 'Baato Baato Mein', 'Kaminey' and 'Gudgudi' were well appreciated by the audience. His simplicity and hard work gave him a distinct identity in the film industry. His son Ayan Mukherjee has also made a name in the film industry and has made big films like 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani', 'Brahmastra'. His upcoming film 'War 2' is going to be released in theaters soon.
