Javed Akhtar has recently been impressed by the voice of a Pakistani singer, which he heard on social media. On Friday, Javed Akhtar appealed to the singer on Twitter to contact him so that he could work with him. Since then, the videos of that singer have gone viral on social media.
Javed Akhtar wrote on Twitter, "Just now I saw Muhammad Muzzam Sahab singing 'Ye Nain Der-Der' on YouTube, can he contact me? I will be grateful to him if he sings some songs for us." After this tweet of Javed Akhtar, fans quickly started sharing videos of that singer.
Here Javed Akhtar was probably referring to Pakistani singer Muzzam Ali Khan. Muzzam Ali Khan often posts his songs on Instagram and YouTube, out of which his version of 'Ye Nain Der-Der' has surfaced recently. His singing is very similar to the voice of Jagjit Singh, who was a great singer of the Indian ghazal world. Actor Hrithik Roshan and singer Rekha Bhardwaj have also liked and commented on his video. Muzzam is also an actor and has acted in many TV serials. He often posts clips of his serials on social media.
As far as Javed Akhtar is concerned, he is busy with many projects these days. Recently he was seen launching the 'Aamir Khan: Cinema ka Jaadoogar' film festival with Aamir Khan. Apart from this, he was also seen in Netflix's documentary 'Angry Young Men'.
