Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reveals why she rejected the iconic role in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's film career has now spanned more than two decades. During this time, she has rejected many films, which were done considering her star image. However, some films also gave her a lot of fame. One such film offer was Karan Johar's famous film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', which Aishwarya refused.

In the film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', Aishwarya Rai was offered the role played by Rani Mukherjee. In the film, Rani Mukherjee plays the role of Shahrukh Khan's first love. But Aishwarya refused to do this role. Aishwarya believed that the audience would react negatively to doing this role. She told Filmfare in an interview that she was not happy with this role. She felt that if she did this role and got a negative response, she would be sad.

Aishwarya further said, "If I had done this film, people would have made fun of me saying look, Aishwarya is doing the same thing that she used to do in her modeling days. If I had done the film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', my fans would have killed me." Let us also tell you that apart from Rani Mukherjee, the role of this film was also offered to Twinkle Khanna, Urmila Matondkar and Tabu, but they turned it down for different reasons.

Rani Mukherjee's character of 'Tina Malhotra' was very much liked by the audience and this character played an important role in the success of the film. At present, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in the film 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2', which was highly appreciated by the audience.
