Telangana Police has registered an FIR against around 25 celebrities and influencers, including prominent names like Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda and Manju Lakshmi. These people were allegedly promoting illegal betting apps. Telangana Police has registered an FIR against these accused at Miyapur Police Station. This FIR has been registered on the complaint of 32-year-old businessman Phanindra Sharma.
According to the FIR, Rana Daggubati, Manju Lakshmi, Nidhi Agarwal, Vijay Deverakonda, Pranitha and 18 other social media influencers were promoting betting apps. Earlier, a week ago, Panjagutta police also registered a case against 11 film personalities and social media influencers. These included people like Imran Khan, Harsh Sai, Tasty Teja, Kiran Gaud, Vishnu Priya, Shyamala, Ritu Chaudhary, Bandaru Seshayani Supritha, Ajay, Sunny and Sudhir, who were promoting illegal satta apps.
According to the police, these illegal satta apps platforms are directly violating the laws and rules, especially the 'Public Gambling Act' 1867. The promotion of these apps has increased the habit of earning quick money among the people, which is proving to be harmful to the society. As a result, financial crisis and social problems are being faced. The police said that strict action will be taken against the persons promoting such satta apps, so that such activities can be stopped in the society.
