Now, there is great news for the fans of this film, as its sequel 'Kesari Chapter 2' is coming soon. On the sixth anniversary of 'Kesari', the makers have shared a glimpse of 'Kesari Chapter 2' on social media, and indicated that important information about this sequel will be given on Saturday.
Akshay Kumar has shared a video on his Instagram account, refreshing the memories of 'Kesari'. Along with the video, it is written, "New war, same passion and fire." He wrote in the caption, "Celebrating six years of 'Kesari'. Celebrating the spirit of 'Kesari' and also celebrating the beginning of a new chapter." In this post of Akshay Kumar, his fans have expressed their excitement for the sequel. Users have written that they are eagerly waiting for the film. One user wrote, "Akshay Kumar's era will never end." At the same time, another user wrote, "Blockbuster loading."
Directed by Anurag Singh, 'Kesari' also featured Parineeti Chopra in the lead role alongside Akshay Kumar. Made on a budget of around Rs 100 crore, the film had a net collection of Rs 155.70 crore at the box office.
Apart from Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan will also be seen in an important role in 'Kesari Chapter 2'. Along with this, Ananya Pandey is also a part of the film. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film will be released in April. Earlier the film was to be released on the occasion of Holi in March, but the makers changed the release date. Now it will hit the theatres on 18 April 2025. The film is being made under the banner of Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective and Cape of Good Films. Despite the name of the film being 'Kesari Chapter 2', it has no direct connection with the story of 2019's 'Kesari'. It will bring a completely new story.
