After the 2003 film 'Pinjar', actor Manoj Bajpayee got an offer to work with Frank Langella in an international film, but that project never fructified. Now, after two decades, Manoj Bajpayee has added an Indo-American film to his filmography. According to reports, the actor is currently working on an untitled Hindi social drama film, which is being directed by American filmmaker Ben Rekhi. Ben Rekhi has previously made films like 'Aashram' (2018) and 'Watch List' (2019).
Interestingly, the film is being produced by actor Rana Daggubati, which is his first collaboration with Manoj Bajpayee. The film will be Manoj Bajpayee's first Indo-American film. Ben Rekhi has written the story of this untitled drama film, which is based on the story of a simple man who has to fight for a greater cause due to his family problems.
According to a Midday report, the story of this film will highlight a social issue through the journey of a family. The film was shot in Mumbai last year and also has a few theatre artistes cast in it. Rana Daggubati's production house, Spirit Media, is producing the project.
Often Rana Daggubati and Manoj Bajpayee met through the TV show 'Discovery Plus'. According to reports, this collaboration is happening between Rana's production house and the Los Angeles-based banner. In the film, Manoj Bajpayee is playing the role of a simple man whose family gets into trouble and has to fight for a cause. At the moment, the makers are not leaking any information about the film and the film will be kept under wraps until the release is planned.
