Bihar Diwas: Aamir Khan's love for Litti Chokha turns Bihar's delicacy into a nationwide sensation

Litti Chokha is one of the most popular dishes across India, loved for its rich and savory flavors. Litti, a baked food item, is made from wheat flour and stuffed with sattu (roasted gram powder), along with spices and mustard oil. Today, on Bihar Day, you can indulge in the delicious Litti Chokha, a favorite of many. Even celebrities adore it, and Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, is a known fan. In fact, he is credited with helping to popularize this iconic dish.

During one of his visits to Patna, Aamir Khan visited a roadside shop to enjoy the state's famous delicacy, Litti Chokha. Expressing his love for the dish, he said, "It is known for its unique taste. I love to eat Litti Chokha." The shop owner revealed that Aamir had also visited in 2012. Following his visit, the shop gained immense popularity. Many people outside Bihar started trying the dish after he visited. Numerous vendors began using his name and his pictures eating the dish on their stalls. Actors like Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan also tried Litti Chokha, adding to its growing popularity among celebrities. Aamir made it a trend, leading other actors and people to visit Bihar to try the dish. His influence significantly boosted both the dish’s popularity and the stall’s fame. His visit turned it into a sensation, attracting food lovers from different places and making it a must-try delicacy.
