Rhea Chakraborty has got a clean chit in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. After this, Rhea along with her family reached Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai and offered prayers for the blessings of the Lord. Many videos and pictures of this visit of Rhea are going viral on social media. In a video, Rhea, her brother Shovik Chakraborty and father were seen posing in front of the media. In the video, Rhea was seen in a simple green floral dress, while her father was wearing a kurta and jeans.

The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) officially closed the case of Sushant Singh Rajput's death on 22 March. The investigating agency made it clear that there was no conspiracy in Sushant's death and it was a case of suicide. The actor was found dead in his house in Bandra area of Mumbai on 14 June 2020. After an investigation that lasted for several years, the officials termed the case as a case of suicide.

Rhea Chakraborty, who was in a relationship with Sushant, faced widespread public criticism and legal controversies in this case. The actor's family had accused Rhea of fraud, forced confinement and extorting money from Sushant. It was also alleged that Rhea had procured drugs for Sushant. Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and had to spend a month in jail.

The case remained in the media for a long time and remained a topic of discussion. Rhea was at the centre of this controversy. Although now that she has been given a clean chit, Rhea has not reacted to it, but her brother Shovik shared a post on Instagram expressing his sense of relief. Shovik posted a video with his sister and wrote, "Satyameva Jayate" (truth always wins).
