Hindustani Bhau moves Bombay High Court seeking FIR against Farah Khan over alleged remarks on Holi

Social media influencer and former Bigg Boss contestant Vikas Jayaram Phatak, also known as Hindustani Bhau, has approached the Bombay High Court seeking registration of an FIR against director-choreographer Farah Khan. He alleges that Farah Khan has made derogatory remarks about the Hindu festival Holi.

According to Hindustani Bhau's petition, Farah Khan described Holi as the festival of "Chhapri" in an episode of 'Celebrity MasterChef' in February 2025. He says that this word is used in a negative context and it has made fun of our culture. Bhau alleges that Farah's comment was hurtful to the sentiments of the Hindu community and may lead to communal tension.

Bhau had lodged a complaint in the matter at Khar Police Station on February 21 and demanded action. However, when the FIR was not registered, he informed senior police officials, such as the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Commissioner of Police, about the same, but still no action was taken. Following this, Vikas Phatak filed a petition in the Bombay High Court and sought judicial intervention to register an FIR against Farah Khan. Now the court's decision in this case is yet to come, and it will be seen whether any action is taken against Farah Khan or not.
