Saif Ali Khan attack case: Accused Shariful Islam Shahzad seeks bail, Calls charges false

Shariful Islam Shahzad, accused of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, has filed a bail plea in the Mumbai Sessions Court. Through his lawyer, Shariful has claimed that he has not committed any crime and the case registered against him is completely false. Police arrested him from Thane on January 19.

According to the police, on the morning of January 16, Shariful entered Saif's 12th floor apartment and attacked him with a knife six times and fled. Investigation revealed that he had entered Saif's house with the intention of theft, but during this time he attacked the actor and his staff member Geeta with a wooden weapon and a hexa blade. After this attack, Saif had to spend five days in the hospital and was discharged from the hospital on January 21.

Shariful was caught by the police on the basis of CCTV footage of the building, in which he was seen going up the stairs. However, in his petition filed in the court, Shariful said that the FIR registered against him is fake and he is fully cooperating in the investigation.

Shariful's bail plea also said that the police already have all the evidence, so he cannot influence the case in any way. At present, this case is going on in the Bandra Magistrate Court, but after the police files a charge sheet, it will be transferred to the Mumbai Sessions Court. So far the police have not filed a charge sheet in this case. Shariful's lawyer has appealed to the court to grant him bail as this case has been registered without solid basis.

Talking about work, Saif Ali Khan will soon be seen in the film 'Jewel Thief', in which Jaideep Ahlawat will also be seen with him. This film is directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. Apart from this, Saif will also be seen in ‘Race 4', which his fans are eagerly waiting for.
