Salman Khan on ‘Sikandar’: "We don't want any controversy, The film has much more than the trailer"

Salman Khan is soon going to return to the big screen with his next film ‘Sikandar’ and his fans are eagerly waiting for this film. Recently, during the promotion of the film, Salman not only shared many important things related to the film, but also openly expressed his opinion on controversies and fans' expectations.

When ANI asked Salman if it has become a trend to have controversies with every film now, he gave a very clear and straightforward answer to this. Salman said, "Arre bhai, we don't want any controversy. We have already gone through many controversies. We don't want any controversy now." He further said that controversies have no role in making any film a hit. He said, "We have seen that sometimes due to these controversies, the release of the film is also postponed, like it gets shifted from Friday to Tuesday." He also made it clear that he does not want to get into any controversy regarding ‘Sikandar’. Salman jokingly said, "There is still some time brother. Let three-four more days pass, let the film be released, even after that we don't want any controversy."

Talking about the film, Salman said that there is much more special for the audience in 'Sikandar' than the trailer. He said, "This is just a three-three and a half minute trailer. When you watch the full film of two hours and 25 minutes, then you will understand that the trailer was nothing. We cannot show everything in the trailer. There is a lot in the film that you will like... Emotions are very important in an action film."

During the trailer launch of the film, Salman's father Salim Khan was also present with him, which Salman described as a very emotional moment. He said, "The love and respect that Papa has earned is still intact. When I left home for the trailer launch, he said that he will also come along. Our whole family was surprised as to what happened to him suddenly. When he reached there, he climbed eight-ten stairs to sit. He wanted to see the reaction of the press. It was a very emotional moment for me."

'Sikandar' is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who has previously made great films like 'Ghajini' and 'Holiday'. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Powerful actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi and Satyaraj will be seen in important roles in the film. Fans hope that this film will once again add a new milestone to Salman's career.
