Disha Salian case reignites: Lawyer claims no clean chit for Aditya Thackeray, Investigation still ongoing

The case of Disha Salian's death is once again in the headlines. Disha's father Satish Salian's lawyer Nilesh C. Ojha has said that Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has not got any clean chit from the CBI in this case. He claimed that Disha's death is a case of murder and gang rape, the investigation of which is still going on. He said this in a conversation with a news agency.

Disha Salian died on 8 June 2020, and six days later actor Sushant Singh Rajput also died. Disha was Sushant's former manager and both these cases created a stir across the country. Lawyer Nilesh Ojha said that the CBI did not look at Disha's case properly while investigating Sushant's death. He told that there is no closure report of Disha Salian case. A closure report did come in 2021, but the government later withdrew it. Disha's father's statement was recorded on 11 December 2023, after which the case was reopened and is now being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

The lawyer also said that the report given by the CBI in the Sushant case to the court was not accepted and Disha's death was also not investigated. He clearly said that Aditya Thackeray has not been given any clean chit.

Recently, Satish Salian has given a new complaint to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, accusing Aditya Thackeray and some others of gang rape and murder. This complaint has been accepted by the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime). It includes the names of Aditya Thackeray, former Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, officer Sachin Waze and actor Sooraj Pancholi. Satish Salian alleged that Parambir Singh was behind suppressing the case in 2020.

Earlier, Satish Salian had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking investigation into the matter and registration of an FIR against Aditya Thackeray. On the other hand, Aditya's father and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has called these allegations false. He said that if there is any evidence then it should be presented in the court. He said that his generations have worked for the public and he has nothing to do with this case. He warned that those making false allegations may suffer losses.

He also mentioned the murder of Beed Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh while raising questions on the investigation. This case has again become a subject of politics and legal debate and now it remains to be seen what comes out further in the investigation.
