Kannada actress Ranya Rao's husband, who is accused in the gold smuggling case and is currently in jail, is now facing another personal challenge. Jatin Hukkeri has officially applied for divorce. He confirmed this while speaking to the media.

Jatin Hukkeri said, "There have been troubles and sufferings since the beginning of our marriage. I have been facing pain and suffering since the first day of marriage. Today I have decided to take legal steps for divorce." According to reports, the two have been having problems for some time. The distance between Jatan and Ranya started increasing in the last few months, and now they have taken the legal route to end their marriage.

On Tuesday (April 1), actress Ranya Rao filed a bail plea from the Karnataka High Court. A few days ago, a sessions court in Bengaluru rejected her bail plea. The petition was filed by Ranya Rao's lawyer BS Girish, which will be heard by the High Court next week.

According to reports, on March 27, the 64th CCH Sessions Court in Bengaluru rejected Ranya Rao's bail plea. Ranya Rao was arrested from Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on March 3 after Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials found a case of gold smuggling with him. Later, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR on the complaint of DRI Additional Director Abhishek Chandra Gupta. The case against Ranya Rao is currently in judicial process, and his bail plea will be decided next week.
