Renowned singer Jasleen Royal performed at the Coldplay concert held in Mumbai this year. Known for hit songs like 'Ranjha', 'Hiriya', 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' and 'Sang Rahiyo', Jasleen faced criticism on social media for her performance. Many users termed her performance as bad and out of tune. Months later, Jasleen has now opened up about the trolling.
On Sunday, Jasleen shared a new video titled 'Dear to Dream' on her official YouTube channel, which gave a glimpse of her opening act at the Coldplay concert. The video also included critical comments on social media, in which netizens criticised her performance. In the video, Jasleen was also seen talking to a team member, in which she was seen saying, "Yaar, kal nahi hua tha. Kal problem kya hui thi? In-ear burst kyun rahe the mere?" The conversation gives a hint about technical problems.
At the same time, another team member said, "I leave that creative part to you. We apologize for the technical part." After this, Jasleen said, "After one point, I felt like going back home. There was so much pressure. I might die. To be honest, I am still processing." In the video, Jasleen told her audience, "I was nervous. It was very overwhelming, but thank you all for believing in me. It means a lot to me." After this, Jasleen shared her nervousness and also told that she did not want people to think that she was not capable of performing there or question why she got a chance to perform in Coldplay's concert. She also expressed concern that maybe the audience was there only for Coldplay and her music would not be appreciated as much. This reaction of Jasleen not only shows her hard work and struggle, but also shows that an artist has to do his work under all circumstances, no matter how difficult it is.
