YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka Bear Biceps has not yet been able to come out of the controversy over an objectionable comment made on the show 'India's Got Latent'. Along with Ranveer, content creators Apoorva Mukhija, Samay Raina and Ashish Chanchlani also came under the scanner in this entire controversy. Now, according to a new report, Maharashtra Cyber Cell is preparing to take legal action against Ranveer and Apoorva in this matter.
Actually, the cyber cell had sent summons to all the four content creators for questioning. Samay Raina and Ashish Chanchlani participated in the interrogation, but Ranveer and Apoorva have not responded yet. Officials allege that both are not cooperating in the investigation, so action can now be taken against them. The controversy started when in an episode of the show, Ranveer asked a participant an objectionable question about the sexual relationship of his parents. The other panelists of the show - Apoorva, Ashish and Samay - were seen laughing at that question, but people on social media reacted sharply to it. FIRs were also registered at many places.
The matter escalated so much that the National Commission for Women (NCW) also intervened and Ranveer had to write an apology. The Supreme Court gave him interim relief from arrest, but called his remarks 'obscene' and 'shameful for society'.
Recently, Ranveer returned with his podcast and in a video titled 'Dear India', appealed to the countrymen to give him another chance. He said that now he will focus on his content quality and four episodes will come every week, which will focus on topics like India's culture, history and personal development. Apoorva Mukhija also returned to social media and told that during this controversy she had received rape and death threats, due to which she became very mentally disturbed.
