Rana Daggubati praises 'Kesari Chapter 2', Acquires Telugu rights through Suresh Productions

Actor Rana Daggubati recently saw Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Kesari Chapter 2' and expressed his excitement about the film in words. He not only called the story of the film 'powerful and necessary', but also called its cinematic presentation a 'cinematic gem'. Rana was so impressed that he has now decided to buy the Telugu rights of the film through Suresh Productions.

He shared his experience on his X (formerly Twitter) account, saying, “Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama - Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you. This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages. We @SureshProdns will do everything we can to bring this cinematic gem to Telugu audiences in the best way in cinemas. A must-watch. And great performances by @akshaykumar.”

'Kesari Chapter 2' is a film inspired by a true incident, which depicts the situation after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the legal battle fought by Sir Chettur Shankaran Nair against British rule. In the film, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of S Shankaran Nair, who stands firmly against the British power as a lawyer.

The trailer of the film has been released recently, which has aroused deep sympathy and curiosity in the hearts of the audience. The trailer also shows how Nair fought for justice against the British government after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film not only highlights a historical tragedy but also pays tribute to the courageous warrior who challenged the empire with his voice.

Along with Akshay Kumar, Ananya Pandey and R. Madhavan will also be seen in lead roles in the film. 'Kesari Chapter 2' is releasing in theaters on 18 April 2025 and is believed to be a milestone in Indian cinema.
