Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recently spoken openly about the salary disparity in the cinema industry. During an interview, she expressed her displeasure over this issue and said that even today artists are not treated equally in the film industry, especially when it comes to the salary of female actors.
Samantha spoke about this during an interview given to 'Foodfarmer'. She told that she has done many such films in which she played the same character, but her fees were different in every film. This thing is still beyond her understanding. She said that in some big films, the hero is considered the center of the entire film because it is believed that he brings the audience to the theaters. Samantha believes that this happens, but at the same time she also said that there have been many times when the actress herself took the film on her shoulders, despite this a huge difference was seen in the salary.
In the conversation, she also said that she has 15 years of experience in the industry and now she does not want to repeat the same mistakes in her career that she has made or seen before. She clearly said that even though she cannot change her current situation, she can definitely make her future better.
Talking about the work front, Samantha was recently seen with Varun Dhawan in Amazon Prime's series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'. Now she is also going to step into the world of film production. Her first film as a producer is named 'Shubham'.
