"I was called just two days before release" — Randeep Hooda on being left out of ‘Highway’ promotions

These days actor Randeep Hooda is in the news for his new film 'Jaat'. Busy promoting the film, Randeep recently joined a podcast, where he also shared his old experiences. During this conversation, he mentioned his 2014 film 'Highway' and told that he was deliberately kept away from the promotion of that film.

Randeep revealed that the film's director Imtiaz Ali and actress Alia Bhatt were promoting 'Highway' along with another actor. When he saw this, he was shocked, because that actor was not associated with the film. Randeep said that the actor was none other than Ranbir Kapoor.

Randeep said, "When I saw Ranbir Kapoor promoting the film, I could not understand what his connection was with the film." However, he also added that perhaps the relationship between Alia and Ranbir started from there. If so, then he is happy about it and he also wished the best for both of them. Randeep said that he was called for promotion just two days before the release of the film 'Highway'. He believes that perhaps the film did not get the right pace in the beginning, that is why he was remembered at the last moment.

Currently, Randeep Hooda is in the news for his role of villain in his film 'Jaat'. The film is getting a good response in the theatres. Many strong actors like Sunny Deol, Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and Ramya Krishnan are seen with him in this film. The film is directed by Gopichand Malineni.
