Akshay Kumar and the entire ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ team pay heartfelt tribute to the Jallianwala Bagh martyrs

Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday's upcoming film ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ has been the center of discussion these days. Recently, the entire team of the film visited Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, where they paid tribute to the innocent citizens who were martyred in that historic massacre of 1919. The moment was not only heart-wrenching but it was also an attempt to pay respect to a principle and important chapter of Indian history.

Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, Preet Ananya Panday along with Gurdas Maan, Gur Ghuggi, B Praak and the entire team of Kesari Chapter 2 paid tribute to the martyr of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. During this, the team also shared that Kesari Chapter 2 is based on a true incident, which traces the situation after the infamous massacre of Jallianwala Bagh and the struggle of freedom fighter Sir Chettur Shankaran Nair. Nair, who was a lawyer, raised his voice for the legal battle against the British Empire and for truth and justice.

In ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, Akshay Kumar is seen in the role of Shankaran Nair, who is known for his courageous struggle against British rule. This story of Nair is a chapter of the Indian freedom struggle that most people do not know till now. This film brings that struggle alive on screen and glorifies an important personality with valor and courage like Shankaran Nair.

The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, and produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Collective. Kesari Chapter 2 will be released on  April18 2025 and the film will introduce the audience to the stories of the freedom struggle from a new perspective. Ananya Panday and R. Madhavan are also seen in the lead roles along with Akshay Kumar in the film.
