Chargesheet reveals attacker's presence near Saif Ali Khan's home prior to incident

Mumbai Police has filed a 1,613-page chargesheet in the case of knife attack on actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence. Many shocking information has come to light in this, including important information about the attacker.

The chargesheet also records the testimony of an auto-rickshaw driver Dhananjay Chaini, who dropped the attacker near Saif's house about 12 hours before the attack. Chaini said that the attacker had paid him double the fare, which raised doubts about his identity. The attacker has also been seen near Saif's house in CCTV footage.

The attacker has been identified as Mohammad Shahzad, a citizen of Bangladesh and came to Mumbai by changing his Indian identity. Police arrested him from Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh. Shehzad changed his clothes after the attack to hide his identity and tried to destroy the piece of knife used in the attack.

Saif Ali Khan's wife Kareena Kapoor and both children were present in the house when he was attacked. Saif suffered serious injuries but is now out of danger and is likely to be discharged from the hospital soon. The police are investigating the case further to find out if the attacker was assisted by an insider and if the attack was pre-planned.
