'Kesari Chapter 2' shines on second sunday with ₹8.14 Cr, Total collection reaches ₹65.93 Cr

Akshay Kumar's film 'Kesari Chapter 2' has maintained a strong hold at the box office on the basis of its strong content and strong performance. While the film took a tremendous jump of 80% on the second Saturday and collected 7.20 crore, now on the second Sunday as well, the film has continued its excellent performance and earned 8.14 crore. With this, the total collection of the film has now reached 65.93 crore.

The credit for the film's consistently strong hold goes to its strong subject and great word of mouth.'Kesari Chapter 2' has brought to life on the big screen a chapter of the Indian freedom struggle that got relatively less space in history books. The film effectively presents the events following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the historic legal battle of Sir Chettur Shankaran Nair.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Collective. Akshay Kumar is joined by R. Madhavan, Ananya Pandey and Amit Sial in the cast. Akshay Kumar's performance in particular is being praised on social media and is being described as one of the best performances of his career. Fans are also considering it worthy of a National Award.
