The 19th edition of International Indian Film Academy is being hosted Bangkok over the weekend. The avant-garde witnessed a mixed bag of dance, music, glitz and glamour, put forth by the who's who of Bollywood including stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aaryan amongst others.

The three-day gala was a testimony to the presence of some of Hindi filmdom's iconic stars and new actors on the red carpet, in the audience and on stage. However, the evergreen Rekha will be performing live after 20 years and her stage act is clearly a highlight at the awards night, hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Karan Johar.

Breaking into the big league of musicians this time was Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur. The actress glorified the carpet in a Monisha Jaisingh creation.

For its 19th edition, the organisers have a glittering show planned at the 2,000-seater Siam Niramit. The starry affair will not just feature power-packed performances by celebrities but will seek to raise awareness about women's empowerment, gender equality and plastic pollution.
