Leading the glorious legacy of one of the pioneers of Indian Cinema, Prithviraj Kapoor, grandson Kunal Kapoor inherited charge of the famous Prithvi Theatre. Initially put together by Shashi Kapoor and wife Jennifer Kendal, the theatre has been a hub and a platform for aspiring and extraordinary theatre artists across the world. November 3 marked the opening night of the 40th Prithvi Theatre Festival at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai and extended members of the family graced the event with their honourable attendance including scion Ranbir Kapoor.
The actor and Bollywood heartthrob was in tow of his uncle Kunal, who orchestrated the plays and films for the festival.
Randhir Kapoor, father of actresses Karisma and Kareena, was photographed making his way through the venue.
Also present at the event were Kunal's children Zahan Prithviraj Kapoor and Shaira Laura Kapoor.
Late Shammi Kapoor's wife Neila Devi was present too.
