The iconic Prithvi theatre in the Juhu area of Mumbai celebrates its 40th year tonight. The place has been a home to many aspiring artists and is a memory of the late legendary Prithviraj Kapoor who has contributed immensely to the Hindi Theatre and Film Industry.

Marking their presence at the 40th celebration, along with the Kapoor khaandaan were, Divya Dutta, Gulshan Devaiah, Ila Arun, Lara Dutta, Rajit Kapoor, Vinay Pathak amongst others. Check out their pictures here:

Prithvi Theatre, which is one of the city's most prominent spots, was built by Shashi Kapoor and his wife Kapoor in the loving memory of Prithviraj Kapoor.
