The 40th Prithvi Theatre Festival commenced in Mumbai's Royal Opera House on the evening of November 3. Under the direction of Kunal Kapoor, plays from Pirthviraj Kapoor's collection and many other will be shown during this celebration. While the entire Kapoor fam-jam marked their attendance at the do, industry veterans and cinematic legends graced the event too.

Renowned actor-director Tinnu Anand was snapped entering the venue. He is remembered for his performances in Shahenshah, Kaalia, Anjaam, Ghatak, China Gate amongst others.

Neena Kulkarni, famous for her work in the Marathi and Hindi film-television circuit smiled along the way for the paparazzi. She rose to immense popularity with her stint in the show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. 

The maker of iconic cult classics - Sholay, Shaan, Seeta Aur Geeta and many more, Ramesh Sippy was seen in attendance with wife Kiran Juneja. 

Well-known folk singer Ila Arun, in all her glory, obliged the cameras with her signature smile and wink!

Padma Shri, Dadasaheb Phalke Award and Padma Bhushan Awardee, filmmaker Shyam Benegal aka the pioneer of new cinema in India, posed for the shutterbugs.
