Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, starring Kangana Ranaut in the titular role of freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai, has been in news ever since it was announced. Now with just over a month left for its release on January 25, the makers of the period film have unveiled the trailer. And just like the magnificent trailer, it's launch event was a grand royal affair.
Kangana arrived at the event dressed in character as the queen of Jhansi followed by her royal assistants. The venue was made up to look like a grand fort and Kangana’s procession was showered with flowers as soon as she entered. From the actress posing underneath a large statue of Shivaji to lighting the diya before officially starting the ceremony, the event was full of grandeur.
The film's cast including Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi and Danny Denzongpa were also seen.
